About the Artist

Curt, a self-taught woodturner, has always had a profound interest in wood crafting. Since his retirement as a Senior Relay Specialist from Omaha Public Power District, he has been given the gift of time to sharpen his skills at the art of woodturning. Curt enjoys the versatility of turning many different types of wood and has an appreciation for the unique beauty in all. Residing in Nebraska gives him the opportunity to harvest a large variety of Midwestern woods such as Spalted Maple, Walnut and Osage. Curt also enjoys turning a wide variety of pieces such as beautiful multi-wood candlesticks, wine bottle stoppers, pens, bowls and hollow-form vases. Curt is also actively involved in two woodturning clubs in the area which are local chapters of the American Association of Woodturners. To browse through a photo gallery of his turnings please visit the GALLERY page.  If you have any questions you can email Curt at curt@woodturner1.net
